I have been a working member of the film production community for twenty years. I learned the business
from the bottom up (from Production Assistant to Electric to Gaffer to Lighting Director to DP/Director)
while owning Solar Plexus, Inc., a lighting and grip rental house.
Whereas many DPs move up to their position from the Assistant Camera slot, I have been involved with some
of the more creative aspects of filmmaking--designing lighting schemes and implementing them to get the
desired effect on screen. I know how to get the wanted “look.”
I bring to each production not only my expertise in lighting, but also the benefit of owning a Red One High
Def camera package, lighting and grip equipment, and a 48’ x 48’ studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
I have directed an independent feature-length motion picture, “All I Know Is,” and have the ability to get top
performances from both trained actors and non-actors. More recently I directed and DPed a series of training
videos for Barnes & Noble.
